Although I have read a few more books, I have not been idle. This is the first couple groups of fused glass pieces I’ve done for the holidays. Yes! I mean the Christmas sale. I know it’s August, should I wash out my mouth?
There will be some decorative wire on these, and hangers when they are finished.
Just tried making a dish from strips of glass, love it! I have to do another one.
Here are my new friends, showing their true colors.
Today a couple funny people are in the glass kiln. I have conversations with these guys. They will change color as they cool. Right now they are about 1200*.
I’ve been playing with scraps, my favorite thing to do. This time it’s glass scraps. My first glass man is a clowny fellow.
I have been hard at work for a couple weeks making ornaments for the TwoTwelve Arts Christmas show. I have glass birds, and decorated trees. And I made some new pendants too. This is just part of what I’ll put in the show for sale. I’ve been working on embroidery designs for pillows.
And, in case you wondered, I’ll show you the princess formerly known as Monkey Arms. Her proper story name is The Golden Ball.
These little faces were a lot of fun. I used pieces as I found them as much as I could. They are about 2+1/2″ wide, and up to 3 or 4″ high.
The ruby glass is transparent. I added a few details before the faces were fused.
The faces are fused. They are about 8″ by 11″.
