I have been hard at work making a new Springtime quilt. It features Spring Peepers, the lovely, loud chirpy frogs that sing continuosly all night. We are not yet hearing them, but will before long. It’s a deafening serenade for a brief time each year.
Over the last couple years I have embroidered many fairy tale mash-ups . Finally, I made them into pillows. Some of them still need pillow forms, but I feel so good about finishing, I just had to show you. Now I need a good price on pillow forms…
These are The Swan Boat, Cindy’s Carriage, Tell Me a Story, Sam the Elf, Hans My Hedgehog, and Piglet Goes Walking.
Jack and the Beanstalk is now a pillow, about 12″x16″. It is hand embroidered, my own design, inspired by a book of fairy tales. This has an overlap opening on the back.
And I finished the Mermaid and Troubadour pillow, about 15″ by 16″. This is my favorite one. It has a side zipper.
Here are the backs. Jack has blue and green. Mermaid has lavender and multicolor.
